Lawton is a city in Comanche County, Oklahoma, United States. It is the principal city of the Lawton, Oklahoma Metropolitan Statistical Area.

In 2007, it had the third highest crime rate in the state, behind Tulsa and Oklahoma City, despite being the 4th largest city (Norman is the 3rd largest city and had a lower crime rate than Lawton).
